Vans Pro Skate Park Series World Championships at Malmo

After four stops around the world to determine which Challengers would meet the pre-seeded Select Pros in the Vans Pro Skate Park Series, we had our 20 top skaters set for the first ever World Championships of park terrain skateboarding. What a show that was.

Vans Pro Skate Park Series at Florianopolis

Going into the last of four runs in the Finals, newcoming ripper from Italy, Ivan Federico, was far in first place. When it came time for Pedro to put it down in his final run, he nailed it. Ivan had one last chance to improve on his second place, being the last skater in the Finals. An early bail took him out and the hometown hero, Pedro Barros became the winner of the second stop of the season here in Brazil.

The full crew of #BoardrBoys, both the Road Crew in the #BoardrBus and the Flight Crew in the air, descended upon Austin, Texas for the week of X Games where The Boardr Am Finals were going down. We're also running the Pro Street and Park events. Seven winners from all the stops of each of The Boardr Am Series were flown in to join five other specially invited ams. The morning after the last stop in The Boardr Am Series at Tampa, we threw Marcos Montoya in the #BoardrBus and headed to Texas. Marcos won it in Tampa and was the last one from the season to get into the Finals. Staff photographer Chaz has a few snaps here from the trip.

At the 7th and final stop of The Boardr Am international amateur skateboarding series, Marcos Montoya put it together to get the top spot and earned himself a trip to X Games Austin with the #BoardrBoys Road Crew. They immediately hopped in The Boardr Bus and drove to Texas for The Boardr Am Finals. You're in for an amazing week, Marcos!

Once again, it came down to the last runs in the Finals where Maurio McCoy was holding the lead. Jake Ilardi had the slight benefit of going last in the Finals from his clean sweep of the Semi-Finals and Qualifiers where he had just placed first in both. On Jake's third and final run, also the last run of the day, he put it down and edged out Maurio for the win at this stop.

For the past two years, we’ve been taking over Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas for Zappos Rideshop in Las Vegas. This year, Zappos let us have their headquarters for the day where one hour was blocked off for a best trick contest down the never before skated double set out front.
