Malmo for Vans Park Series and Skateboard Tourism

On this stop for the Vans Park Series at Malmo, we had some extra time to go street skating and sample some of the amazing spots that are everywhere in this modern architecture city. The old guys in our crew were super stoked and stacked up the clips daily after work. Check out some samples from that and of course the ripping skating at the Contest.

Now we've got some time to roll around. We're on the cleanest subway/train ever, just like everything here.
When we rolled up on this spot we randomly found, we figured it would be one kickturn and bust. We ended up skating it for an hour. Insane.
This city is super new, super clean, and beautiful.
Stop and smell them, they're everywhere.

The locals sent us to these nice low benches where Dylan has a backside 180 out of this nosegrind.
Bikes rule here, too.
The streets are empty here at 9pm.
It's not dark like this until well after 10pm.
Now we're off work again and rolling around in front of the hotel. The founder of the Mag is not going to put himself on the cover.

Serra Nega, Brazil was the second Global Qualifiers stop of the season where Pedro blew the trees out of the jungle in all three of his runs. Any one of his first three runs in the Finals could have been the first place run. Pedro was unstoppable in Brazil again.

After four stops around the world to determine which Challengers would meet the pre-seeded Select Pros in the Vans Pro Skate Park Series, we had our 20 top skaters set for the first ever World Championships of park terrain skateboarding. What a show that was.

Pedro's been denied by Canadian Customs in the past, so this year when he was let through for the first time, he had some pent up energy to release on Hastings, and man did it release.
Vans Park Series Americas Continental Championships

There are five spots in the World Championships available to winners of each of the Continental Championships in five regions of the world. The event is wide open to anyone who wants to enter. When the dust settled, Patrick Ryan and Dora Varella, ended up securing their spots in Shanghai.
Vans Park Series Global Qualifiers at Brazil

Congrats Sakura Yosozumi and Tom Schaar on winning Womens and Mens divisions at the first Global Qualifiers stop of 2018. Sakura wrapped up her winning run with a backside noseblunt revert while Tom capped his with a big spin backside lipslide in the deep end.
